LET’S MAKE SOME WAVES

Razor Aquatics is an African American centered competitive youth swim team serving the Metro Detroit area. Our team is open to swimmers of any race, but it exists as a space where young Black swimmers can participate in this sport and still feel at home. Our goal is not only to increase the participation of Black youth in competitive swimming, but to provide an environment that facilitates the development of elite swimmers.

Locations and Training Days/Times

We train at Unis Middle School in Dearborn, MI (7801 Maple St., Dearborn, MI 48126) and Bryant Middle School (460 N. Vernon St, Dearborn, MI48128). Depending on what training group a swimmer belongs to, based on skill and experience, swimmers may train 3-6 days in a week. Monday-Friday training sessions may start as early as 5pm for some training groups and end as late at 8:15pm for some training groups. All members looking to join must have availability during that time frame to join this team.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

We are a predominately Black swim team.

We don’t just train your children, we care about them.

We believe in giving it to you straight because honesty is the ultimate policy.

Our team has a comprehensive selection process that helps us shape an environment of excellence and positivity.

We take swimmers with little to no swimming skills and turn them into competitive swimmers quickly.

WE ACCEPT CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS FOUR YEARS OLD
